...not to completely de-rail the topic, but I use a sharpie to write on the cello...but on the extra cello that extends past the foot. Then, I leave the cigars on my desk for an hour or two, then back in the humi. No residual smell, never a problem.

I did the same with these cigars. I don't smell the Sharpie either.
