If this happens, it might mean that I will die soon after. Seeing PF is one of the last things on my bucket list. I kind of thought I was safe because they would never tour again... especially after the comments made in '05. But I will take off, work, mortage the house, do whatever it takes to get to the concert. Let's hope they pull it off!

I was blessed to have a very cool dad who took me to see Kiss Alive in Madison Square Garden in 1976 and then Pink Floyd on the Animals tour shortly after that. At the time Kiss was my favorite and I knew little of Pink Floyd but was changed at an early age after that.
Returning to MSG a few years ago to see Roger perform Dark Side of The Moon it was clear, to me at least, that Pink Floyd without Roger isn't Pink Floyd, but Roger can recreate all the riffs and atmosphere of a Pink Floyd show pretty well without Gilmore.
I normally don't believe rumors, but this came from a friend in Connecticut that makes my ears perk up when he says something like this.

I seen Roger Waters in MSG around 10 years ago and it was incredible. I can only imagine what they will sound like reunited. This is one I'll be watching....

I will definitely be watching. I'm all over this one, don't care if the tickets are $40 or $400, I'll be there.

I'd agree with that.
Pink Floyd - The Division Bell (AKA "P.U.L.S.E.") - 1994
Roger Waters - In The Flesh - 2000
Musically, In The Flesh was a much better show, and Division Bell was no slouch.

I was lucky enough to catch Roger Waters on the Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking tour with Eric Clapton on lead guitar. The name David Gilmore never entered our minds.
It was Roger's first solo project and took all the weirdness from Final Cut and expanded on it.
I sat in the 4th row of Radio City Music Hall and nobody moved from there seat for 2 hours, which would normally be a bad thing, but we were all too tripped out.
Kinda ironic that the reuinion seems to be Gilmore's decision when he never would have been in the band if Sid Barret didn't reach for the secret too soon and cry for the moon.
Roger wanted full control of the music, which might not have been a bad thing, in my mind, based on what the band did after he left.

I heard an episode of "In The Studio" this morning on the radio on my way into work. I am not sure how old it was, but it was made since the Live 8 event because Gilmour talked about it. Based on what he said in this interview, and the things Roger has been saying for 20 years, a lot of which they replayed this morning too, I just can't see them ever reconciling. I sure hope I am wrong, though.

I saw "Which one's pink?" on VH1 classic last night, and when asked about a reunion, Gilmore said "It's not going to happen."
I have to say that i would love to see a reunion. Animals is my favorite Floyd album. I was too young to see them live on that tour, and I would love to see them perform at least a few sonds from it live.

My favorite PF album is Ummagumma, followed by Animals. I think The Wall mostly sucked. I saw them live (twice) for Momentary Lapse and thought that a great concert but I can't even remember Division Bell.
I think seeing them now would be almost like watching a cover band with a lot of money for the production. I would not go see it only because I've seen them before.

Holy crap! I hope it's the Hartford, CT show... Either way, I'm definitely looking forward to it.

So from what I can tell this is not really a reunion but a guest performance on 1 song at 1 concert. Hopefully it is the start of a true reunion.

From the surface it is Ryan, but my super secret sources have informed me that Roger and David are spending time in the studio.
