The Pump House here in Fairbanks, Alaska has a small, over priced, poorly stocked humidor...but it is a nice bar with great food and is very cigar friendly. This was the very first place I went too when I arrived in Alaska. Me and my friend who drove up here with me each smoked a PAM 40th to celebrate four VERY long days on the road. I know this is a bit of a hike from Texas...but if you ever find yourself in Fairbanks, Alaska you should check it out (bring your own sticks.)

Any good beer selections for sushi?

I usually have a Chimay Blue or red with it. Of course, there's always Sapporo!

GREAT restaurant is right! I used to travel to Raleigh regularly for work, and the Angus Barn was one of my favorite haunts. Haven't had the pleasure in about 3 years, though. Shame.

It's getting tougher and tougher these days...
I recently found the only place near me for miles to smoke and eat. It's in Scranton's old train station, an unbelievable building. They have two restaurants that you can order from in the hotel. Had I known about this place before the ban was in place, I would've been there more frequently. Now, it's a great place to relax after work.
I still prefer to bring my own, though.

While I am HOPING to avoid 5 days of standing on my feet talking to Nascar fans, I might be heading for
Texas Motor Speedway again first week of November. I have a hell of a lot more on my plate this year,
so maybe I will not be tapped to go, but one thing for sure, the bruthas in Dallas have a HELL of a spot
that they took me to last year. Had me a fair amount of bourbon last year. Thanks Cro, for taking care
of me that evening, as well as Beagle 1. And I thought it was some Italian name, Begleone' or something.
They both went to alot of hassle to get me to and from, since I was rideless.

James,
Say it isn't so.
No more smoking at Del Frisco's?
:-)

Keep us updated. If you're around, we'll figure something out

No more smoking at Del Frisco's?:-)
Unfortunately, that is indeed the case. No more smoking inside restaurants. Bars are ok and smoking outside (patios) are ok. Sucks, but I guess it could be worse. We'll still take you for a Del's Delight before retiring to another smoking spot next time you're around, Carlos
:-)

Funny thing is, we never see the Legend when we go. I'm looking for someone the size of the kid from "the New Guy" wearing a TapOut shirt. I should've found him by now.

They don't have a walk-in humidor, but F&tH is a great place to sit enjoy a steak and a drink. There's a couple in Dallas and at least one in the FW area. As an operational concept, they run as an English style pub so they somehow slip between the cracks in Louisiana as a bar.
Just bring your own sticks if you can, because they tend to be expensive there.
