Just saw this.
Vicodin is not going to give you solid relief, at least not for me.
I would get oxy, percacept or demerol. Heck if I know if spelled them right. I just know how to take them.:-)
Hope you passed it by the time you see this.

Hope you get it out soon, Andy.

From the horror stories on here...I hope I never get one.

It has been about 20 hours since my last bout of severe pain. I am hoping it has passed. I did not use the strainer so I can only hope at this point.

Thanks for all the sympathy.. It does actually help!!! :-)

While it may be in fact you passed it and didn't know it, the likelihood of that is usually minimal.
More likely than not, you will know when you pass it. It is an uncomfortable and distinctive burning feeling in your groin. It is not painful. In fact, it feels relieving to get it.

What happens at times is the stone goes back to being "dormant" and not pass until who knows when. Could be days, weeks, months, years before you know about a stone again.

Question:
When you went to the hospital, did they tell you the stone already dropped into the tract? If it did, and the pain is gone, chances are in fact you passed it and just didn't get the rest of the symptoms. If the stone did not drop at that time, then I would bet it is still part of you waiting for another day.

I've had twenty. The last three at once were last year. I had to have lithotripsy to remove them over three sessions. I've passed all of the others without a problem though.

Now I drink a gallon of water per day.

It can be the most intense pain you've ever had before when you have an attack. You don't feel right for days before. You can't put your finger on it but you feel very off. Once it is gone though you immediately feel better!

When it passes you'll know it though.
