Man, do I hate that phrase ... since it is always followed by what they claim doesn't need saying.

So here is your thread to post those annoying little phrases that drive you nuts or to comment or post about people who use them.

But that goes without saying ...

"I'm not gonna lie to you" is the worst

I never trust anyone that says this.

The one that bugs me is when you ask for something and the person says...

"sure, not a problem"! :-)

When people use "in the a.m." instead of just saying morning. Especially when it doesn't even sound like a proper sentence. For example, got an email from a co-worker this afternoon asking if I had seen the message they sent me "this a.m."

hmmm...the only thing that bugs me is when people say "uhh" I did see the other day that Bob Costas gets mad when people say they control their own destiny...I guess destiny and controlling doesn't go hand in hand. :-)

In the fraud business we joke that if you want to be honest with me now, that means you have been lying to me until now.

Proven fact that phrase "to be honest with you" is usually said before a deception.

I hate:
ya'll all

it's "NEEDS TO BE" you moron!!!

and one my dad says (he's such a grammar stickler, i can't believe he says this)

"are you going to go get a taco bell?"

^^^ i'm not physically getting a "Taco bell" (or other fast food establishment).... i might be getting food FROM taco bell, but im not getting A Taco Bell.
