My wife and I decided sometime back that we would like to retire in Florida.

About a month ago, my wife asked her manager if she could transfer to the company's Florida office. After thinking about it and discussing it with her manager (the organization VP) she told my wife yes. We decided to hop on it before they changed their minds :-)

On August 7 we flew to Florida to start hunting for a place to live and lo and behold we found one in Clermont (~30 minutes from Disney World) and we close on the 30th. My wife starts working in the Apopka office on November 1st.

In the meantime, independent of all this we have been readying our Oregon home for sale so that we could downsize. We pushed it up a bit and It gets listed on September 1st.

We had vacation plans for Florida starting October 21st, but now that's our moving date.

This is all out of order from what it should be, but it's going to work out ok in the end :-)

We have always lived on the west coast: 25 years in SoCal and 36 in Oregon, so this will be a big change for us, and we are really looking forward to It!
