shilala 03:34 PM 09-25-2015
Everybody always asks what you guy's favorite cigar is.
I'd like to know what MY favorite cigar is.
I'll give you a hint...
It's not a Party short.

NO.
There will be no parting gift or door prize. Just go home.

Not even close, John. I throw cigars away all the time cause they suck.

I do love anything PL. Except the RE's.
Probably my favorite marca.

Back in '08-09, I had a clear and decisive favorite.
Two, actually. Both were NC's.

That's kind of misleading, cause I think they stopped making one around '05, but I busted my ass to corner the market and bought every single one I could. PapaJohn liked the counterpart to the one I liked, it was his favorite.
He had to stop smoking because of his health and we don't see him anymore, he is very sorely missed.
One time Vin bought me a couple boxes of those delectable first faves, and that was the final nail. I smoked a zillion of them, and I absolutely loved them.
Then Cigars International bought the brand and turned them into doo.
That's good clues.

The cc side is tough, but I can tell you that the very best cc I have ever smoked, DaKlugs Dave shared with me at Shack.
An old PL Magnum.
I have been blessed to smoke literally everything, and that cigar was far and away the very best by a long margin.

But I only really smoke pedestrian cc's. At least to the tune of plain old off the shelf stuff. No RE's or LE's. So that really narrows that side.

That was the cigar that blew the whole cigar world open for me.
Still love them, but not my favorite.

That was one of the old nc's. You should know the other one, too.
