My dad wants one for Christmas. Do any of you know much about them? I have a Surefire G2 that I have had for a while. Should I look at something else? $50 is the budget.
thanks!

Thats a Cree. Are they decent? I always thought these were unreliable.

I use a Fenix TK11. Can't remember what I paid for it, but it's my workhorse. When I bought it, it was very popular with paramedics. It replaced my Maglite at home for emergency lighting too. And since I take it camping/hiking/fishing, I wanted something IPX-8 rated.

My sister in law has been using one for over a year at the FAA and swears by it. YMMV though. I only have Streamlight but that's me.

Streamlight/Surefure are my first guess, but I know 0 about flashlights. I have had the same maglight for a long time.

What say you oh guru of the flashlight.
BTW.....as a side note. I always thought the term 'flashlight' was inaccurate. Unless it has a strobe funciton, It never really flashes. I always thought 'Durabeam' was a better term.

Even my headlamps are Fenix. Good stuff. I've never had an issue after using them, so I stick with something I can trust.

I picked up the NiteCore P12. I am curious about it for myself so I got him one to try out.

I have a nitecore chameleon C16. It's been a pretty sturdy light for me. I've been playing with it for a few months now and I seem to like it.
Hope you enjoy your P12
