One of the first cigars I tried when dabbling in this hobby was the Fuente Hemingway Short Story. I know I am not alone in that circumstance. Not sure if that is the reason, but I have always loved a good Cameroon wrapper.
I would pick some SS's up on occasion, but often found myself picking up something different to see what else I liked. I have gotten boxes of Tats, Toranos, Gurhkas, but never got a box of SS's.
This week, I put that to rest.

I hadn't planned on getting that box, but I was in a bit of a Fuente mood. I don't have a top-notch B&M in my backyard, but I know the good ones where I travel for work. This past week -- just my luck -- I got an email from one with the good stuff in stock while I was in town (this
NEVER happens, btw). But, I felt the need to stock up!

Hopefully, those SS's will tide me over while I wait for those Opus X to mature in the humi . . .

(Mouth watering as I post) Beautiful haul! I had to change the zoom level to drool over, I mean, view the pictures for a few. Those Anejos really got to me.
:-)
My first cigar also was a Short Story and still love them today.
Enjoy!

I have been searching for a Cameroon as good as the Hemingway , I don't think it exists . I've tried all different brands and still think the Hemingway is the best . Enjoy them .

Great haul there! All of them - I loves me an Anejo.
I still have an SS now and again and I agree - The AFH may be the best Cameroon out there.

Nice pick up. Which state was this in?

Tennessee. Not a bad tax situation there, and there are some really nice smoke shops in Nashville and Knoxville.

Nice! Those BTL's seem to be appearing a lot this year. More so than the last couple, if my memory is correct.

I have not been in this hobby too long, but I had never seen them in stores. I blinked a couple of times when I saw the first ones, and picked up some samplers. The store where I got these had them packaged with the larger Hemingway vitolas and an Anejo in a sampler pack. I was going to get more before leaving town, but other people had the same idea.
They also have just a few of the maduro Hemingway (Classic size, IIRC), but I had already blown the budget.
