took a fall the Sat b4 Thanksgiving in the parking lot at work, Emergency Room said "Sprained Shoulder", I knew better. Got an appt with my Ortho a week ago today, MRI was last Friday. Follow up today.......TORN ROTATOR CUFF( I blew the tendons in 2 of the 4 muscles that hold the shoulder together). Worker's Comp case so I'm on a 10 day waiting period for them to APPROVE my surgery. Outlook is 3-4 months of being out of work.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE/HAPPY HANUKKAH TOO MY JBOTL

Too bad your income is not that of those that most commonly suffer this type of problem: pro baseball pitchers! Wishing you nothing but the best and a full recovery- and perhaps a salary approaching that of a pro baseball pitcher!

good luck on the surgery, I'm actually sitting home recovering from that surgery right now, (torn laberum and rotator cuff) I had the surgery the week before halloween. All I could say is try the physical thearapy first and see if helps or just at least stalls the surgery till the nicer weather cause right now I wish I didn't have the surgery cause I'm in more pain now then before. Oh and the biggest piece of advice I could give you is
BUY A RECLINER BEFORE my recovery would probably be going better if I had one I have yet to sleep thru the night since the surgery. If you have any other questions shoot me a pm I'd be more than happy to talk to you about it.

Sorry to hear the news coach. That sucks. I wouldn't say that you'd really be missing work though.

Have been having similar shoulder issues. So far the cortisone has held, though this snowstorm has made me wonder...
Good luck Coach!

I feel for you.
I had one back 3 yrs ago that they wanted to operate but believe it or not, it healed. Lots of therapy on it but good to go.
I now have the other one torn.
:-)
This one seems to be a bit worse.
Good luck.
