All Cigar Discussion>Can we ditch the term 'boutique cigars'?
Brian D. 05:38 PM 12-26-2013
It just sounds too metro or wussified. Unless it was to buy something sexy for a woman, I've never set foot inside a dang boutique. How about 'small batch' or 'craft' instead? Those work well for beer and bourbon.

I guess I've never heard that term before. Not saying much I'm out of touch on a lot of subjects!

How do we communicate this decision to the cigar community, which has been using the term for decades?

Strippergrams would probably get the message across most effectively.

Hmm... always did think the term was saved for those cigars that ya smoke with a pinkie in the air... I vote for the "small-batch / Craft" monicker...

I tend to call most of them overhyped versus boutique. Example.....viaje
