Ok, the back story, I was clocked going 77mph in a 55mph by a state trooper...
I have spoken to my insurance agent, being that I am a (more or less) responsible driver, he gave me 2 alternatives, both will not affect my insurance...
Alternative 1)
Prayer for judgement. This requires a 25 dollar report of driving history, and so long as nothing bad happens for
3 YEARS then it is wiped away, clean...
COST 25.00
Alternative 2)
Driving Class to get ticket changed from a moving violation, to an immobile violation. Class costs
60.00, Ticket cost
80.00, Court cost
220.00.....
BUT nothing would be hanging over my head in case I have any bad luck in the next 3 years...
COST 360.00
Before this, my last infraction was 6 years ago, that being said, you never know what may happen in the future...
What would you do?

Slow down.
:-)
Rob, I don't know your driving habits, so I voted for choice #2. Besides, you never know what the future holds brother.
:-)

I'd go #2, and take it as a lesson learned. Like Mac said, who knows what the future holds
:-)

Go #1, then lock your car in the garage for 3 years. Savings would be MUCH more than 300 bucks.
:-)

I was in this exact same situation about 12 years ago. I chose option 2. But it was only around $180.

Who knows what could happen in 3 years? I'd pay more for a piece of mind. Sure wish Taxachusetts had something like that.
I'd just about do any unholy act to get out of points on my insurance.

I would take the $360 and put in on 13 Black. If you win, you can get all the speeding tickets you want in the next 3 years and just say **** everybody.

1. Slow Down
2. Show up at court. Officer might not be there and it gets throw out. If he is there, present your clean record for the past 6 years and ask for leniency
3. Dammit Slow Down!

I'd roll the bones and go for #1. Slow down and drive responsibly and before you know it the 3 years are up. I'm a gambler and like everyone said, you never know what the future holds. Today might be all of our last days.

1. Take option number 2.
2. Either slow down or get a faster car that can outrun copters.

I just pay the fine, and go my way. As long as I don't have more than one infraction on my record in any running three year period, it doesn't effect my rates. I have a heavy foot, and know it. I generally get a speeding ticket every 3 years or so. I'm actually overdue. If you have nothing on your record, and are generally NOT a speeder, I'd go with the $25 option. For me, It is faster, and overall cheaper to just try and not get more than one ticket every three years.
Good luck!!
