I, for one, welcome our new robot overlords!

(Also - robots of the future when the singularity occurs - remember this statement and don't crush me, please)

Yah I'm more concerned about the DHS buying over 1.5 billion rounds of ammunition. I suppose you have to have plenty on hand if you declare marshal law or maybe they just want to be able to out gun local law enforcement agencies. lol

Police Chief Cameron Arthur of Jenks, Oklahoma says, "Ammunition and assault weapons in general have skyrocketed...In addition to the fact, not only is it a lot more expensive, but the time to get it could be six months to a year, or in some cases even longer."

Just add a 20mm Vulcan chain gun to the Hippo type robot and you be in business huh!?!

And, with the apparent and gradual implementation of "drones" in the US airspace (yes, I've actually seen them here in the Valencia area), we have a just so wonderful growing police and military State...

Really? I'm far more concerned about technology than dhs buying ammo.

Maybe. But they could also have ways to defend against things like that.

Machines can be stopped easier than a bunch of trigger happy DHS agents, plus the agents have the rounds right now. What did 'they' say that within 7 years there could be as many as 30,000 drones flying over the US monitoring .....us.

So no matter how you looked at it we boned.

Trigger happy? LOL 30,000 drones in 7 years? 4200 manufactured a year?

And No they don't have those rounds in hand. That's a contract with a delivery time lime, it is'nt as if 1.5 million rounds were dropped off at HQ one day. You are talking about a department with around 50,000 armed agents. All of which have a requirement to fire X number of rounds X number of times a year to qualify. Waste money when every agency buys ammo in small amounts at increased cost, complain. Group order to get a discount with bulk order, complain or run to the hills afraid. How about trying to understand how your government works before being afraid of it's actions?

/now back to our regularly scheduled hilarity
