I know there are some Star Wars fanatics here in the Asylum. Any fans of the Clone Wars CGI show on Cartoon Network? New episode begins tonight at 9pm.
I love this show!

man, i've been so scared of watching this show for fears of it destroying all star wars. Is it really that good?

I'm a big Star Wars fan but have not seen the Clone Wars Series for the same reason as Dooge.

It's tolerable. A little too "kiddie" for me, and not a big fan of the animation style. Do like the stories though, keep it on DVR to watch.
Although last weeks Jar-Jar focused episode was brutal to watch.
And yes, I was 11 when the original came out and saw it three times in July '77. yeah, I'm old...get off my lawn.

I wondered how long it would be before you put down your millemium falcon miniature and looked at the board.

I'm a huge Stars Wars fan, but I heard bad things about the movie (it's already out on DVD and BR - not a good sign) and am afraid to watch the series for the same reasons stated above.

No, i've not seen it. I love me some Star Wars, but after the abomination of the Clone Wars movie (that Asoka character is worse than Jar Jar imho) I refuse to watch.

The soundtrack to the movie is a big letdown. No John Williams stuff in it.

As for Asoka, I'm not a big fan either. But she was created to a target audience of the age of 8yrs old and below. I can tolerate Asoka, but the rest of the show is great. Fight scenes are pretty good, and the detail in the backgrounds are well done too.

As was Jar Jar. Although at least Jar Jar was annoying in his own unique way. Asoka is pretty much an Anakin clone, only much more annoying. And from the previews i've seen she's in alot of the show so i'll pass I think.
I'm not a fan of the animation style either to be honest. Too blocky and stiff, the lightsaber duels don't look very good at all. Why they didn't just bring back Gendy Tartovsky and let him do more Clone Wars shorts is beyond me. I swear, those were better than any of the newer movies lol.

:-) Those were most excellent! Samurai Jack too! Gendy and his crew did some great work!

Karen Travis has done some good work lately. As I mentioned above, the Clone Wars shorts from a few years back are well worth a look if your a fan!

Yep, I like the Republic Commando series. That's Karen Travis at her best! Death Star was pretty good, different perspective on the whole planet killing space station thing. Unique book. I'd also recommend the the two Darth Bane books, excellent reading for sure!

What's Death Star about? (other than the Death Star, I'm not that ignorant).
Don't spoil it for me, but does it involve well-known characters?
