.... being announced live right now!

From what's been announced so far it has a retina display that has 1 million more pixels than a 1080p HDTV. A5X quad-core processor that is twice as fast as a Tegra 3. Full 1080p video recording. Voice dictation.

EDIT - they are currently displaying some of the new higher res content right now. Autodesk, Flight simulators, etc.

Now they are demo-ing a new Infinity Blade. Damn! Its just as impressive as when the iPhone went to the Retina Display.

Now maybe I'll get the Ipad2 if the price drops considerably. That's what I did with my iphone. When the 4S came out the price for the 4 dropped to pocket change prices so I got one.

benchmark comparisons for the processor? I mean legit ones, anything from a manufacture is always suspect.

It will probably be a little bit before we get those. They are still presenting it now. Hoping some of the attendees will get to demo them today so we can get accurate specs.

that would be nice. I wont buy one as i use and like android. but a decent leap in processing tech would be cool. That being said my first android phone was clocked faster then my first desktop computer(my 2009 motorola droid1). so :-)

They are now demo-ing the new iPhoto on the iPad. The iPad supports up to 19 megapixel photos. They are currently editing a 12 megapixel photo shot with a Nikon D300S

EDIT - they already demoed the other new iLife apps which received minor tweaks.
