I will be going to a larger b&m in about a week and I was thinking of trying something newI have a few brands in mind. I was hping some of you could say whether or not they would be good for a n00b like me. Im not a fan of candelas at all, but any other wrapper colors I find smokable. I prefer a medium to full bodied smoke as well. Some of the ones I liked best so far include Immenso, Kinky friedman kinksters, Drew Estate Dirt, Nub habano, Don peppin garcia blue label, excalibur, don tomas Maduro, Onyx Reserve, Padron Maduro

5 Vegas Cask Strength
601 green oscuro
Ava Maria
Cao Black
Cau gold maduro
cao mx2
diamondback
El mejor emerald
Helix
Gurkha Viper
Gurkha Black Dragon
Graycliff Chateau Grand Cru
Erin Go Bragh
Obsidian
Opus x
ORTSAC
Cain Daytona

feel free to recomend others

perdomo lot 23
perdomo 10 anni
rock patel vintage 90 or 92

Out of that list...I would say

Opus X
Cain Daytona

But what Frank said, get some samplers and hopefully that'll set you on the right path.

But if you're headed there with singles in mind maybe try as many brands as you can, get an idea what each one is like.

You send 5 cigars to one of the very knowledgeable guys here and they send you back 5 cigars to try that they think you will like.

That's the long and short of it, but please read the rest of the rules in detail.

I'd say try them all some I have had and are good Erin Go Bragh is Irish whiskey infused
and at one point I liked but not my cup of tea now but worth a try
none are what I would call bad sticks and unfortunately you have to find out your self

The NST is really quite easy. If you want to get in on it, post to that thread asking to be added to the next list. When Gator gets enough people to cover all trades, he'll post the list. You'll see your name listed as a 1st timer, then a list of CIA's you can PM. Pick one and tell them you'd like to do your first NST trade. They will provide you with their address where you'll ship 5 cigars of your choosing. Once they receive your end of the trade, the CIA will then ship out their end.

This will help you establish a trader rating, get you familiar with conducting trades and hopefully get you some cigars you've yet to try.

After a 2 week wait when your trade has finished, you can request to be added as a 2nd timer, then a 3rd timer, etc.

Yep, anything you currently like to smoke, or think the person you're trading with would enjoy.

Why? It's a great way to get introduced to cigars that you've probably not had before. Read through the thread to see the types of trades that happen.

Certainly don't want to push you in any one direction but being relatively new myself I can speak from personal experience when I say the NST is AWESOME. You get your foot in the door with some trader rating (which is important) and you get to try some different stuff that other people like. I did my first trade about a month ago and loved it and now am currently involved in my second trade.

It really is a very cool idea and way to get involved on the board if you want to jump right in...:-)

Try a Punch Rothschild Double Maduro. Great little cigar that's easy on the wallet.
