Future and broader availability of this size was one of the topics I discussed with Dave Wagner – Oliva’s VP of Sales. Although I wasn’t able to nail this one down, I walked away from this conversation with a feeling that availability is certainly not out of the question. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.

I have a soft spot when it comes to Oliva cigars. I have smoked through tons of Os, Gs, Vs and Connecticut but my favorite has to be 2008 Oliva Serie V Maduro Especial. Clearly, V No4 had a high expectation. Thankfully it didn’t disappoint. The format of the cigar was simply brilliant. If you are in a pinch and in need of a quick smoke, this slightly thicker Petite Corona is a godsend. In flavor department, as one would expect from Serie V, we are talking about spice, woodiness, and nuttiness mixed with some chocolaty hints. From ash/burn perspective, more accolades. Light grey ash with relatively sharp burn line.

I was able to lay my hands on few samples few weeks ago due to generosity of a fellow cigar smoker. If you can locate a TAA shop in your neighborhood, give them a call. You will not be disappointed.

This is an awesome cigar. The larger RG ones suck compared to this.

An hour's dive is nothing. :-)

These are good and I agree with Dan. The larger rg you go with these, the worse they get.

I enjoy this vitola more than the lancero or the Den Bosch figurado.

If you get the chance to try one I highly recommend it! :-)

Why won't you ever smoke one ? Call one of the shops ! I'm sure they can ship within US.

I smoked one this evening while out on the patio with the wife playing around with my new Nikon D5100. Hopefully I can take photo's half as good as Jay's one day!

Glad you enjoyed the stick Jay. Never know when they may pop up here in the US beyond the TAA.... Maybe sooner than later? hmm...

Amazing pictures! I love how the Oliva was captured. Those would be good cigar pics for a cigar lounge or smoke shop. I love the texture, smoke, and taste of the V Series Oliva, a beautiful stick. Thanks for sharing with us!

I prefer the size of No4: concentrated flavor, quicker smoker so I can smoke more frequently :-)

Thanks for that comment. I'm working with couple Cigar shops on prints :-) Not this specific one though.
