General Discussion>We finally got rid of it!!!!!
Christiel49 03:38 PM 05-11-2011
Well, I just want to share with y'all, my CA family!

My daughter will be 3 the end of September and my goal was to finally get rid of the dang PASCIFIER. I asked myself since the beginning of the year who I will ever get her to give it up? I have allowed her to have it since she was a infant, and have never seen a problem with it.

Until we went to Mexico!!! Every DANG picture has that pasci in it. When we got back she had started mandating she has TWO pasci's @ all times. Needless to say I have had enough with this whole PASCI business. So, I removed all of them from the house ( my purse) and gave her one on Monday night. Ofcourse I did not tell her this!

Well last night when we got home I moved it and she could not find it! She said she lost it, so I told her we would have to buy a new one tomorrow. She said ok!!!!!!!!!!

She went to sleep and never made a fuss!! I on the other hand did not sleep, expecting to stay up all night crying over the stupid pasci.

Anywho, hope tonight goes as smooth! Here is her pasci pic!!

Thanks, for listening & I will appreciate any thoughts y'all have to share!! :-)Image

Congratulations, both on your "victory" over the binky and for having such a cutie in the house.

Nice. We cut off thing 1 at 1. Thing 2 never got one. If she did, it was only the first few months. I don't remember her having one.

Wow, your blessed with a beautiful little girl...mine never got one and for my pain my oldest didn't stop sucking her thumb until she turned 9...sometimes you can't win...chalk this one up as a win for mom.

Make sure she don't start sucking her thumb as a substitute. My cousin did that till she was almost 20.

Thanks! She is not wanting to go to bed tonight. Already read A LOT of books, rocked to sleep & no dice! I think we were both dependent on the pasci. ARRGGG.....wow this is hard!

She is my beautiful princess ;-)

We registered for pacifiers for our son, when people bought them, my wife made me take them all back. It is not suggested that you don't even start infants with one. :-)

She's a gorgeous little girl. We got lucky with our youngest, he never took to the binkie.

Good luck!! I know how hard it can be, my daughter never wanted one but my son hung onto his for a little while. I think we just misplaced it one day..lol
