Lettuce discuss.
I love this show. I don't know why. Maybe it's the creativity that is involved.
Now I am hooked on the elimination show "Cake Boss: The next great baker"
I don't watch reality TV unless its informative (mythbusters, How its made)
Does anyone else watch this addicting show?
:-)

Next Great Baker is horrible. While admittedly all better bakers than yours truly, none of them deserves any title like "Great." Some are strong in one area or another, but overall
:-)! Like Pamela--leaving cakes in the oven overnight on the first (second?) episode... unbelievable! I stopped watching; I've tried, but just can't watch them.

He could actually make me hate cake. That guy gets on my nerves like nobody else on TV.

I hate the show. I can't stand "Buddy" and his annoying accent.

I hate the show and I have never seen it.
Same can be said for every faux 'reality' show out there, but I digress...

I like Top Chef and Hell's Kitchen, but do we really need the specialization? Now what, America's Next Top Prep Cook? Super Applebee's Greeter?

I like the Cakes, but his accent and his attitude are a bit off-putting.

^^ I think its comical.
But you are right, i watch it for the cakes. Love some of the creativity that they put into them. also, all of their cakes are aesthetically polished whereas i've seen shows where cakes sag, lines are rough, and surfaces look more like a beach than a sheet of glass.

Although I stopped watching after the first season, I do like the fact that most of his cakes are actually made of <gasp> real cake and sugar. Some of the other shows that claim artistic cakes use mainly wood and styrofoam covered in frosting and modeling chocolate. To me that kind of defeats the entire purpose.

I dislike reality shows immensely, but there sure is something delightful about Buddy! My girlfriend almost got me a bobblehead of him cause I find him so funny.
Celebrity rehab. I have never seen that one but I did read on of Dr. Drew's books and it was pretty good.

My wife is Italian. We watch the show because it reminds her a little of her family.

It is funny to watch him, but I just couldn't imagine working with him on a project... I do have to say that I watch the show whenever I remember it's on, and most of that is a result of Buddy's attitude (well, of course the cakes too)!
