General Discussion>Day After Christmas in Hampton Roads, Va.
kelmac07 09:07 AM 12-26-2010
Those familiar with the Hampton Roads area of Virginia know that we only get snow every third year or so, and it usually melts before the end of the day. Well, today we got about 7 inches and it's supposed to keep snowing til after 1700 (and it's only 1000 now). Kellie and I love the snow!!! While it's nowhere near a Buffalo or Pennsylvania snow (where we are from)...we are still enjoying this!! Guess I'll be lighting up in the garage today.

You can have it! My folks are saying that DC "supposedly" isn't going to get too much-- what a weird storm track.

If you stop by my parents' house a few blocks over & help them shovel out, I'll make it worth your while :-)

And it's coming down harder now...easily over 8 inches. They are saying the snow won't stop until this evening around 1900.

I am glad somebody enjoys it, Mac! I wish I could send you the 5-6* we got overnight so you could enjoy it more! :-) :-)

Happy Holidays!

Bring it Tom. We don't get it that often, so we enjoy it when we can. News just said that VDOT has 50 trucks working the roads. Funny to hear that they only have 50 trucks. :-) :-) Let's hope they meant Hampton Roads. Oh well, I have plenty of sticks to torch. :-)

Pretty impressive pictures, coming from Virginia!

Nothing better than torching a stick outside in the falling snow... I'm looking forward to doing just that in our upcoming Noreaster, if the 60 mph wind gusts will let me! :-)

Nice, This is what we have hear in Charlotte today. Coming from up north it is funny to see how a couple inches of snow brings panic here. The news this morning was talking like the apocalypse was among us. The street out front is already melted and the flurries just tapered off. Should be in the 50's by Tuesday and mid 60's by Friday.
