Sports>Favre's Streak Ends at 297
Starscream 05:31 PM 12-13-2010
Sad to see he barely missed the 300 mark, but it is what it is. I know there's not a lot of love for Favre on here lately, but I feel bad for him this year.

Love him or hate him, 297 consecutive starts is quite an accomplishment.

It is actually too bad, that's quite a remarkable streak in truth.

Love him or hate him, he is a HOF quarterback who just held on a little too long.

I heard on the radio this morning that he might start and make a few handoffs before giving way to his backup to preserve his streak - I give him credit that he didn't pull that.

I wish he would, honestly. The man has paid his dues.

Well, love him or hate him, that was one damn impressive streak.

Well, the streak is over - so what possible reason is there for him to continue? Time to bow out Brett and finally go away.

Agreed, Hall of Fame first balloter for sure, but damn if he didn't ruin Pro football for me by turning out to be a douche...:-)

Would have liedk for the Vikings to have let him get to 300...not like they are making the playoffs...but I understand.

I was listening to the local sports radio station this afternoon and their disdain for Favre was palpable. They were making fun of the guys on ESPN and how they were glorifying Favre and his accomplishments. It was pretty funny.

They would have, Mac. They don't have anything to lose. Problem was/is that he can't even lift his throwing arm. He just plainly couldn't make it out on the field.

Looking at his stats this year, in many cases he didn't hold on long enough... :-)
