So who's looking for what and where? I was looking on certain sites already and some ads are already posted.
I'm just looking to get some decent tools being a new homeowner and all.

I haven't had anything in mind myself but the wife has been making a list and eyeballing the recently paid off credit card. So I imagine it is going to be a long friday morning for me. But I have already told all purchases have to be made in time to get home for the Iron Bowl.

Home Depot is usually the only Black Friday sale I pay any attention to. I've gotten some great deals in the past few years.

No sales for me this year. Unless NHC, Tower, Famous, or any of the online retailers want to throw some awesome sales out! BOGO Viaje's/Tat's????
:-)
LAst year, I got a high efficiency frontloader washer/dryer combo for $600 from Sears
:-)
In years past I have bought the LCD TV's. They aren't spectacular, but the price was right at the time.

Don't forget certain locations let you purchase the items online as well. You just have to do it in time.
I purchased a patio heater at Home Depot online last year but it was sold out by the time they processed it so I had to stand in line. I know Home Depot usually has the same items every year so if you look at last years cicular you might find the same things.

I refuse to shop that day. Too many people out. I buy groceries at 3am that's when I like to shop. Mostly only online too.

I've been wanting a wet/dry shop vac and remember seeing them on sale last year. May need to search for one this year. Otherwise, I'll probably be sleeping in my car in the parking lot while my GF goes store-to-store.

My wife is a big Black Friday shopper. We do a bit of Xmas shopping for the kids then, too. A good site to see the ads and plan your assault is
www.bfads.net.
I go with mostly to keep her from going too crazy, and most times, she rationalizes herself out of making several purchases. Get them into the cart, and then think about it. My bro got an LCD tv at Best Buy a year ago that was a great deal.

Since moving to NC the tradition has always been that the whole family comes down here for Thanksgiving and Black Friday all the woman go shopping while us guys go to hooters for lunch and than go Go-Karting after and than at the end of the day we all meet someplace for dinner. Usually a place by the mall called Buca-DiPeppo(sp?, Family style Italian Food Chain) so I never participate in the madness and prefer it that way. I don't have the patience or motivation to get up at the but crack of the morning after stuffing myself and drinking myself into oblivion the day previous to score a deal. Just the crowds alone would be enough to drive me nuts.

Blackfriday.info is the place to go. They seem to keep all the different sales pretty organized, including the online ones for individual stores.

I read an article in the paper a couple weeks ago that the black friday sales may start much sooner than the traditional day in order to make up for a dismal sales season so far. Worth keeping an eye out for places you are interested in since the amount of some items may be limited.
I'll probably watch Amazon for some blu-ray dvds, but that's about it.

I'm going to Walmart to see if I can't start a stampede and trample some of their employees to death in order to get a slightly discounted television.
:-)
After working several years in retail, my black Friday plans will be to stay at home with the family and buy nothing
:-) I've had enough of that circus to last me a lifetime.
