I saw them last time they were around. It was a great show.
Dave's voice held up and Lil Woolfie handled the bass like a pro.
I'd give the new stuff a listen.

Was in 4th row the last time. Cool to see them
that close, but would've sounded better sitting much further back. I would see it again no question!

I might go if I could good good seats at face value. Loved Van Halen, but MA's voice was an integral part of the sound in my opinion.
Saw them 4th row on the "1984" tour, it would be tough to top that.

Meh.
Firstly, they were a bit "past my prime" . . . and I suspect they are past theirs as well.
Secondly, I've always classed Eddie Van Halen as one of those guitarist who, if I could play as well as he does, I could play much better than he does. He has a ton of speed, and an ounce of soul. Besides, I've never forgiven him for the role he played in "porking out" Valarie Bertinelli. Damn, she was hot!

So much time and talent wasted on egos and publicly aired infighting over the years, I'm having a hard time giving a crap about these guys anymore.
While I am hopeful that the new album will be on par with the greatness of some of their former works, I’ll reserve judgement until I hear the new album.

You'd know better than me, Scott . . . though on the surface it seems like me saying "Dickey Betts IS The Allman Brothers."

I saw the original band back in the day. I have no desire to see them now.
