I've learned that riches aren't defined by what's in your bank account or stock portfolio.. I've learned that friendships can span thousands of miles and be strong even when you have never met the other person formally. I've learned that giving is truly better than receiving and I have learned that there are more people in this world like me than I ever thought. I have also learned that those who are willing to sacrifice these things for others are fools.
What have you learned?

I learned that you have the coolest tailgating vehicle!
I also learned that there are still good people in the world and I share one thing in common with them....cigars

Well said! For me it's an extension of our past in a "safe place". For folks new to our community the hope is that the things that made our group interactions special to each of us continue for new members through all of us living up to the spirit of our upbringing and the continued joy of fellowship only a vibrant and fun forum can provide.
Bottom line .. I have learned that it is the group of special participants that makes a place unique, warm and inviting, not the URL.

I learned that this place truly is about the people and the friendships and not the web address. I think we all knew that, but this just reinforced it.

I have learned that...
... I have made some great and true friends of folks from all walks of life - who don't look or think just like me - and I think of them as true brothers and sisters.
... there truly are people of integrity and principle in this cynical wolrd.
... "Pay it Forward" is a rare attitude to find - and this place is full of men and women who live it as a lifestyle.
... I want to be a contributing part of this forum for a long time. :-)

You, my friend, have done the lion's share of the techie stuff. Without you, we would not be where we are today. We are all in your debt.

What have I learned?
I think besides the points others have already made, is that it's all about the friends we have made, and have yet to make.
Cigar Asylum has taught me that I am not alone.
Cigar Asylum has taught me that giving of ones self truly is a gift.
Cigar Asylum has taught me that Da Klugs can put thoughts into words in a way that I could never do.
Cigar Asylum has taught me that sometimes my best ideas are not very good.
Cigar Asylum has taught me that with 10 other fine gentlemen, we made a dream come to life. In just 5 days.
Cigar Asylum has taught me that this place is nothing without all of you reading this.

I've learned that the things that really matter in a cigar community is not the cigars, it's the people. It's those people who make a difference in your day, the rolled up pieces of tobacco are just what brought us together.

Peter, your sig tag speaks to one of my core beliefs.
We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. - Winston Churchill
CA's existence and everyone I've befriended here is a testament to this truth without exception. There are precious few things of this world where this can be said.
