General Discussion>A .45 leaves a pretty big hole....

When I was a tanker I carried a .45, so I already
knew what this poor bastard just found out first hand....there goes the marathon training, ouch:

This comment made me rofl...
"Heck that’ll buff out…A hundred years from now he won’t even remember he did it."
My sentiments exactly. :-)
I bet it hurt like a mother. I sawed the pads off three of my fingers a couple years ago and it hurt worse than when I broke my back. There's a lot of nerves in there. :-)
I should add...
"Kids, don't try this at home."

Gee the first thing I learned in firearms training was treat every weapon as if it were loaded. :-)

I taught my daughter that years before I taught her how to shoot. When we're at the range, it's gone to "You better hope that thing is chocolate."
She smiles and quits mindlessly pointing it at my head. I hope I survive teaching the kid. :-)

This is just proof that not everyone is meant to own a firearm. It's guys like this that give us responsible gun owners a bad name.

He will at least have a place on his foot to hold his cigar after he blows his hands off :-)

Can't believe he is taking the picture - and not in a hospital.

Quite the souvenir.

Further down on the post there is a link to the real incident. The guy was trap shooting with a shotgun and rested the barrel of the gun on his foot.---BAM!

I wasn't prepared for the graphic pictures...got a little queasy.

I had a friend who shot himself in the leg with a .45. While he was laid up in bed he actually carved a cane out of a tree branch that he used to walk with after he could start moving around again.
