All Cigar Discussion>Aruba Honeymoon Cigar Diary (Pics)

I was in Aruba for 10 days. staying at the Riu Palace. On top of all the stuff I saw/did and the time I spent with the new wife, I also smoked a bunch of tasty cigars.

First, here's what I brought:

And now, onto the many cigars burned... First up:

Wednesday, 15th (our first day there) 2:05pm an 06 Upmann Mag 46 gifted to me by Patrick (Mr. Maduro). This was a quite impressive and yummy smoke!

Image

Later that night (9:40 pm) I tried a 99 Vegueros Mareva gifted to me by Bobarian. This is a marca I don't get and I found this to be a rather ho hum cigar, but that it was given to me by a guy like Bob made it taste better...

Image

Thursday, 16th 10AM. What goes better after breakfast than an 01 VR Familiar... these are one of if not my favorite smokes.

Image

Friday, 17th 1pm... a 97 ERdM Grande de Espana gifted to me by Bruce (Broozer). This was a great smoke... thanks Bruce!!!

Image

Saturday, 18th 9:40 am... I followed breakfast with an 07 Cohiba Maduro Secretos... yum.

Image

Saturday, 18th 6pm - 05 Boli PC. Again, yum...

Sunday was one week from the wedding. I was sick as hell on my wedding day and for a few days before and after, so I never got to smoke my Davidoff Lafitte I'd been holding on to :-)

I decided that I'd bring one rare (to a pedestrian such as myself) cigar and smoke it as soon as I felt 100%. Fitting that day was our week-a-versary

11am - Festival Mareva, gifted to me by my good friend Justin (Justinphilly)

Later that night (8:30pm), and not wanting to compete with the days previous smoke, I settled down with an 08 SCdLH El Principe

Image

Monday, 13th around 1pm on the golf course - 99 Punch Corona. I really like these sticks!

Image

Later that night (10pm) w/ latte in hand, 00 Punch RS12. Everytime I smoke one I kick myself for not grabbing more when they were available. Oh well... I have a few to tide me over :-)

Image

Tuesday, 21st 11:15am. Here goes an ancient NC (Flor De Oliva Grand Cameroon) gifted to me by the overly generous Ron1YY. That is a guy you should never trust... take my word for it. I can't guess what year it was, but it's a tasty smoke. Thanks Ron!

Same day, 4pm, 07 SCdLH Oficios. I like these, but I like em better with more time on them.

Wednesday, 22nd 8:45am... starting the day out nice with a 1950's era Blackstone.

Image

Same day, 6:45pm '01 SLR Lonsdale... I think this was a gift, but can't for the life of me remember who from. Thanks mystery dude!

Image

Thursday, 23rd 7:45am - 08 Trini Reyes...

Image

same day, 3:45pm - 02 LGC MdO #2...

Image

Friday, 24th 9:15am... Yet another 01 VR Familiar... as I said, I can't get sick of these.

Image

Saturday, 25th 9:15am... Last smoke before heading back to cold ass Rochester Davidoff MB Petite Corona.

Image

And one final thing... I finally got to see an LCDH!

Shell says I need to smile more in my pics... I think I agree with her.

Hope you enjoyed the cigar rundown!

Actually, I did... I brought enough of my own decent smokes to not feel bad missing out on the ungodly high prices for cigars there. I did that on purpose... :-)

As an aside, there were more fake smokes there than I've seen anywhere... that place was a hotbed for Cohibos.

Looks like you smoked your way through your trip high roller style. Very nice selection of sticks taken, and smoked. :-)
