All Cigar Discussion>Thinking about firing one up......in the house
Namerifrats 01:07 AM 01-03-2010
The wife and I spent Christmas with her family in Lakeland FL this year. I drove back by myself Thursday so I can go back to work this week. She will be staying in FL until next Sunday when her and my two children fly back home. I'm thinking....I have the whole house to myself. Can't sleep....why not fire up a smoke. Currently 19 degrees outside (here in Winston Salem NC), so don't wanna go out there. I pretty much have the basement to myself in this house, it's finished with carpet and drop ceiling. Not much chance of the smell getting into the 1st or second floor of the house. Anyway, she's 650 miles away, and I have 7 days and a full bottle of febreze.... Also have a large sliding glass door down here to help with the airing out process tomorrow.

It's easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to ask for permission. Go for it. And I feel you on the cold (being only about 90 minutes south of W-S).

I smoke in my basement (finished) several times a week, and can't usually tell by the next morning.

Smoke with the glass door open and the heater on. When you are done dump the butts before you go to sleep. The next morning spray down with Oust or another odor neutralizer. Last thing before she gets home is to use Carpet Fresh and vacuum. I smoke daily in my house and clean and spray before my grandkids come to visit. Works like a charm! :-)

I was just thinking about doing the same being the temperature here is even worse, -5. so theres no way im goin out there. but then weighing the consequences if i did would probably worse than suffering out there for an hour so ill just wait till tomorrow :-) If i was in your situation though id light up.

Tell her it was a late Xmas gift for yourself.
On a real note, I hear coffee beans gets the smell out very fast.

I smoked new years with a little honeywell air purifier going next to me so I could be part of the party. Next morning you could not smell a thing and my fiance is one to notice.
