General Discussion>You never know if your to old to try!!!
Sailchaser 12:12 PM 12-28-2009
Well I wanted to start the new year off and well I just registered to go back to school, Went to the campus today and did the paper work and (ouch)paid the bill. The neat thing is that it seemed like I never have left school after not being there for 25(yes 25)years.
Kind of a neat feeling.
As a bonus my counselor did my paper work for my degree today which I will get in May. I was suppose to do it many moons ago and never got around to it. Nice Bonus for the day so I going to go have a cigar.
Everyone Enjoy the New Year I'm going Learning
I wonder if they can teach this Old Sailor Guy something:-)

Congrats, Chris. Never too old to learn.

Did the same thing myself 10 years ago at 45 and never regretted it.
In fact, my brother is going back this year just shy of 60 to get a degree in electrical engineering.

Best of luck to you.

I am 57 and went back to school in August of this year to work on a PhD program in theology specializing in religious education. Seeing as I had done a masters degree while on active military duty, it is easy for me to do this studying now since I am retired and only do some part time contract security work. Anyone can do the work if they can cope with a lack of sleep or otherwise find time to study. I salute the OP for going back and for folks like Gnuckfu who is doing law school while working full time. The education is worthwhile and you will not regret doing it even if it does not result in a degree. Best wishes for success and feel free to pm me if you want tips to make things easier. Paul:-)

I've got a backpack if you need one. :-)

I'm done with school for now and don't need it anymore.

It isn't a question of whether or not they can teach you something, but whether or not your willing to learn. The fact that you made the move to go back to school shows your willingness to learn.

So, all that is left to say is, "God's blessings and good luck."
