Something that hasn't been widely written about is the fact that there are 13 golden "tickets" scattered about the total box production of Drac and Boris. One of the 13 ticket holders will win Pete's Monster Ducati motorcycle. Are you all old enough to remember Willy Wonka?
Has anyone heard of anybody getting ahold of a golden ticket?

Haha I think everyone in the USa knows about willy wonka. And if you dont remember the original one, then the remake with johnny depp.
None the less I'm interested to just see what they look like.

I know one BOTL I know up in Chicago got a ticket.
Apparently, you have take a picture with the owner/employees of the B&M you pulled it at or at least have them provide proof that you got it at their store and send that along with the ticket to an address posted on the ticket itself.

This will almost CERTAINLY go to a retailer and not an end user, due to almost all retailers opening the boxes first!

I guess I lucked out because mine weren't opened. Hrmm, wonder if there is anything spooky in there

Really?

I really don't want to stir controversy, but does all of this (LE Drac, etc.) seem contrary to the botl/sotl generosity of this Board?
It feels selfish to me. There have been very generous botl/sotl on this Board willing to share Dracs and everybody loves a good contest... but this just feels like, "Ha Ha!!! Look what I got!!!" Kind of like the kids on Willy Wonka!!!
I'll stfu now!

There will be sharing going on now that the rush to get them is all done. It was just mass hysteria in the beginning. Kind of like everyone going to get their face masks for the flu.

There is one person in Houston that got one of the golden tickets at Serious Cigars. Honestly, I was not that concern about the motorcycle as I am for the cigars (yes, I did get a whole box, no I didn't get the ticket). This contest is designed to drive up the hype somewhat and promote the LE Dracs. Besides making a good cigar, Pete is very good at marketing his products.

No ticket for me in either of my boxes. I have to agree though, I think the winner will be a retailer. I have heard from a number of people that they acquired a box but when they got them they were already opened. I would be pissed!

I think a cleaner way to do it would've been to allot each retailer a certain number of boxes to be sold sealed. Then another allotment of boxes (sans tickets) to be opened for singles sales. If you're dropping the coin for a full box, you deserve a chance at the prize.
Pete, if you're reading this and want to use this idea next year, have your people contact my people.

Each Box has a #. Pick a number like B430(boris box) or D666 in a drawing. That way everyone has a sealed box except singles and B&M owners cant win like most contest in the U.S. If a owner pulls some chit and tries shenanigans it will get out eventually. At that point it is up to Pete to call them out on it.
Problem solved

No that is what makes these cigars so good! It is a new experiment to compete with Acid.

Thanks for posting.
There's gotta be at least one from California or both NoCal and SoCal since it's Pete's home state. Florida would be a guess and New York. That would leave 3 more tix... where would they be?
