If you have an invite that you are not going to use I would love it if you would invite me.

I'd really appreciate it!

Dave Google voice can be used for VOIP but it also has this really cool feature that transcribes your voice message and sends it to you either txt msg or email. Not the most accurate but it's cool.

I am using it but am wondering should I give that number out? I mean how long will google voice be around? It is very cool as I can have GV call any number I like, take a message record calls etc, etc.

Plus you can use that feature with your normal cell phone number (you basically tell your cell carrier to forward to GV if you do not answer)... :-)

Dave, GV was originally Grand Central if u ever heard of that. Essentially a service that combines all your phone numbers into one, that really the man feature although google has added some. Other things since they bought them out. Works great for people who have clients, etc. Also very useful to give that number to people who you don't wan to have your real phone numbers, and it just rings through

You can setup different calling groups that will forward to certain phones (cell but not home, or ring cell, home and office, etc) and give different voicemail messages... :-)

It also has two-way SMS capability from the Internet. This is really handy for me since my cell phone doesn't work here.

I have GV and I hand out that number and have it ring my work cell. It's great as it has allowed me to drop my verizon bill in half. Another trick is to put your GV # on your unlimited friends and family then have people call that and you'll essentially get free minutes.
