Does anybody do anything creative or cool with smoked cigar bands? I have an oversized brandy glass and a foishbowl that I fill with my smoked bands, though I don't feel too creative. Any ideas on cool stuff to do with them??

I save mine too. When I get enough, I thought I might glue them to a piece of foamboard and make a collage/picture and frame it on the wall. Be a nice illustration of my cigar smoking history.
Another idea I had was to glue them down to some pieces of wood, polyurethane them and have drink coasters.

I use mod-podge and some felt and glue them to the bottom of ashtrays.

(I never imagined that I would ever get this much mileage out of that cigar review photo which I took for another site...)
If I ever put in a bar counter, I think I might urethane/varnish them into the counter, until that point, I just keep them in ziplock bags and old cigar boxes.

I save them in an old cigar box although I have no immediate plans for them. I'll come up with something one of these days.
I saw where somebody glued them down to a coffee table top and varnished or Lucited the whole thing over. Really looked classy.

I was thinking when I accumulate enough, perhaps a decoupage piece.

I have no immediate plans, but I take mine, flatten them in a book for a while, then toss them into an old cigar box for when i get ready to do something.

I made a piece of wall art for my toilet, and the ones I have now (big ziplock bag full) I will take to my B&M. Every friday this young kid comes in to collect the bands that the customers leave behind, he collects them. He'll be happy with my bands as most of the bands are from cigars not available in The Netherlands.

That is one very cool ashtray. I may have to do the same thing. Very cool!

I save a bunch of them and then give them away to any brothers that collect them.

I have a nice storm lantern. The kind that holds a candle. Similar to the ol fish bowl idea only dressier. I bought it at Walley World for around 10 bucks and it looks nice on my pub table next to the bar in my dining room. When I'm finished smoking I simply drop the band in there and as it fills up it's starting t look pretty nice. As soon as I figure out how to work the digi and import some pics I'll post a picture.

What kind of glue do you use? Any tips on how to do it? I'm guessing that there's more to it than simply gluing bands to the bottom of the ashtray.

I heard you should leave them on, as they indicate how far you want to smoke the cigar
