General Discussion>Cigar Monster's Laugh
DonniePaul 11:01 AM 08-27-2009
I leave my desktop in my home office up and running most of the time. This is near the kitchen and living room of our house.

Last night as I was in the office playing around on my computer and my wife heard the Cigar Monster laugh as the deal changed. She came running into the office asking "What the **** was that????". I guess I have left the page open for the last few days and she thought the house was haunted. She was not quite happy when I explained what the laugh meant but she was glad to know she was not going crazy. At least not from that....

Sound familiar? This ever happen to anybody else?

I have Sirius streaming on my PC at work. I have to remember to mute my sound before going to Cigar Monster. I hate it.

Too Funny! I've only recently become addicted to the "monster" site and have gotten WTF looks and comments from my wife and my kids when that laugh comes on.

What a coincidence that you posted this! Just last night I had my volume up and the Monster scared the **** out of my wife!!!

I told her what it was and she doesn't remember ever hearing it before!!!

I have gotten some interesting looks at work when people come into my office and it happens to change in the back ground while were talking.

I rarely have my sound on so when I heard this for the first tim it made me jump a little from my chair. I was working From home at the time and had the window open in the background so it took me a second to realize what it was.

I have had it happen a couple times during conf calls with customers when I forget mute my phone...it sure gets quiet for a few seconds.

I leave it open on my laptop all the time... So occasionally it will go off while I'm sitting on the couch watching tv with the kids. Of course this leads to them thinking there is a "bad guy" in the house. Takes a bit of convincing to tell them otherwise. :-)

It's worse with a vinotemp. My wife can see through the glass door and just gives me the "Wow that thing looks pretty full" speech.

That laugh hasn't happened for weeks here. I don't know why but it doesn't laugh anymore.

Seems like I've heard that a few times before, too. Doesn't stop us, though, Right?:-):-)
