President Barack Obama said in Turkey: "We do not consider ourselves a
Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation. We consider
ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of

After reviewing acknowledgments of God from all 50 state

'Food for thought' send to as many as you think will be enlightened as
I hope you were.

Sure, you can post it. I kinda wish you wouldn't, though. No offense, but the politics stuff is a little divisive (as indicated in the forum guidelines which attempt to steer us in the other direction) and I, for one, come here to get away from it (among other things).

Now, I am just one, and if you want to vent, I'm not going to complain at you for doing it. However, you asked, so the above is my answer.

Amazing how truth does that . I can't figure out how to delete it .

What?! I couldn't see what you wrote 'cause I was blinded by the glistening beacon of your beaming truth. :-)

Sounds like the 'truth' is that your courteous question was insincere.

No, CA rules don't allow it because it's political. So I took the liberty of reporting the thread. :-)

As my friends have stated, these types of presentations are best served in other forums across the internet.

A quick search in Google for "Do you know the Preamble for your state?" reveals that this post is part of a campaign. I would have liked it a bit more if you had stated your sources or inspiration for this thread. The underlying current is politics with regards to the relationship between "church" (GOD) and state.

We all borrow and build on others thoughts and experience finding inspiration where we may, but it is always a sign of respect to give a reference if one is needed. Based on what the Google search presented on other websites I don't see where you have added any personal comments or observations of your own which prompts me to ask for your inspiration. A simple "copy & paste", "not that there is anything wrong with that" :-)

It's fine for now since its already up, but as soon as it seemingly takes a turn to the dark side, its a goner.

Just an observation.

Politics and religion...

I think it was pnoon who once posted something to the effect of, "if you have to ask whether or not you should post something, you probably shouldn't..."

As politically and seemingly religiously motivated as the original message was, not necessarily the OP here, but the originator of this text, the preamble from Washington does not have any clear religious aspect...
