I just got a 5-pack today from a contest. I think it was lancero size. About 6 inches long by 38? This cigar is a well crafted cigar. Slight veins in the wrapper and smelled delicious. It was firm and not too hard or squishy. I used my zikar punch and checked to see if it would draw. Perfect draw. I lit this one up while it was raining outside. I was in the garage watching the storm move through.
First inch I was like wow, this thing has some strong pepper, the kind that make you clear your throat. It mellowed out quite nice. I had issues keeping it lit but I'm sure that was my fault as the humidity today was about 88%. Once I got past the first inch I got flavors of toasted nuts and a woodsy almost cedar flavor. The flavors didn't change much at least on my undeveloped palate. I kept this baby going down to about an inch. The pepper came back in the last third. I was quite pleased with this cigar and I am glad I have 4 more to smoke in this size.
:-)
I want to thank AndyMadera for making a quality cigar that I enjoyed. Your work has paid off!

I just smoked my first Reserva Miraflor, very unique... I got it as a bonus from TripleF. I had the Corona size (i think?). I was SHOCKED by the spice overflow from the first 1/3... Maybe it was because I haven't smoked a cigar in a week, or maybe its just the smoke, but it was REALLY strong, almost overwhelming at first. As it mellowed, i really got to taste the complexity, very floral (duh Miraflor) and fruity almost. Really an interesting smoke. To be honest, I started liking it more and more as I smoked, and really enjoyed pairing it with Iced Earl Grey Bravo (

Andy, thanks so much, the construction was perfect, the smoke volume (my favorite part of a good smoke) was ENORMOUS, and the flavors complex. Great job, friend.

Doug, I did pick up some floral bits here and there but no fruit. Maybe it didn't mellow out enough for me to taste the fruitness
:-) :-) will have to let them rest a bit and fire one up in a few weeks.
Oh yeah I forgot to mention, would I buy this stick, YES I would indeed!

Andy was in Vegas and gifted everyone with a Toro or Robusto (their choice). I really enjoyed the flavors of that Toro.
