Several of you knew that my son, James, had a soccer tryout for Carson-Newman College earlier this month. We knew that James had been accepted to the school and was going to get some academic scholarship money, but James really wanted to know that they wanted him enough to offer some athletic scholarship money as well. We just got the word!!! He will be getting a very nice supplement for soccer!!!
:-):-)
I'm pretty sure he will accept as I really think he wanted to go their either way. This will really help with his attitude though (not that it was bad).
Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers from the folks around here!! I know it made a difference.

I actually wrote that earlier and erased it

Thanks for all the well wishes guys. I would be very proud of James either way, but I am glad he is getting a chance to play in college at a school he wants to attend. He is a great young man, a wonderful son, and he is the kind of kid you want to see good things happen to.
Here is a collage they gave us at senior night this year. That is my ugly mug down on the bottom right... I do the announcing at the games.
