Wine, Beer, and Spirits>The Bourbon Thread!!

Very nice, Ben, sounds like a fun trip although it's too bad the secret spot was short...

Yeah, I came across a bottle of ECBP B520 for $49 a few days ago. I already have a bottle missing only one pour, but c'mon! It's 49 bucks. :-)

Ok, I’m not a bourbon connoisseur, aficionado, professional, etc. like some of you. I’ve enjoyed some and have a couple favorites, but I’m a neophyte for sure. Was gifted this bottle today from my coworkers as a going away gift. Just cracked it open and poured a little taste. Damn this is smooth. Definitely doesn’t drink like a 101 proof. Anyone else have experience with this brand?

Never grabbed the Yellowstone, Bob. And with my palate now, probably won't buy much under 110 proof. :-)

Glad you're digging it, a very thoughtful parting gift.

Great stuff! That EHT Small Batch is one of my favorites when you can find it anywhere close to MSRP. Might pour myself one tonight :-)

Agree with Ben, two nice scores Steve.

Show a picture of the Blanton's on FB and watch the taters start begging. :-)

Probably one of my Top 2 or 3 batches, Ben. Good score!

Is that one of the finished ones, Steve?

Last night's pour. No surprise I'm sure. :-)

Should be getting my first bottle of New Riff in today, pick from a private group. Looking forward to giving their stuff a try

It's sourced from MGP, then aged and blended at Green Brier. Not usually a fan of this type of bourbon, but this one was given to me by a friend that knew I liked "hotter" (this one is 113 proof) bourbons and it's actually pretty good.

113 proof? I was thinking n 126 and 127 when I got today's additions. :-) :-)

I saw EHT for $90 today, is that on par? What should it cost at MSRP? I pass by this place almost daily on my way into work

If it is the regular EHT Small Batch MSRP is around $35, I've paid between $35-$45. If you're talking Straight Rye or Single Barrel $90 is a little over but probably worth it, if it's the small batch I'd find something else. I love the small batch but no way I'd pay 2-3x MSRP for it

Same price range here in NY. Its good stuff, but not $90 good.

Agree with Ben and Bruce, while many stores around here have it near that price, other (less "gougey") stores have it between $35-49.

It was $55 for small batch, $90 for single barrel
