I lit the wrong end of a Bolivar Gold Medal before...dang thing started unraveling after the first couple puffs and had to throw it away just barely half way into it. Before, I used to clip the crown then toast the foot, but now I toast the foot then clip the head...no more problems with un-banded cigars and dim light :-)

ive done this a couple times. I almost put the lit end in my mouth when tending to the campfire.
