All Cigar Discussion>Cuban Suggestions?
RatherUneek 11:08 AM 03-11-2011
I think this disucssion is allowed here if not then forgive me. I'm flying out to Vancouver tomorrow (I'll be there for a week for wedding and honeymoon) and have found a couple of retailers for Cuban cigars. Anyway, I have listed some cigars below that I have really enjoyed recently and based upon that was wondering if you guys could reccomend some Cuban's that I might enjoy. Thanks guys.

RyJ Habana Reserve
San Cristobal Seleccion del Sol
Tatuaje Havana VI
Cain Daytona
La Glorain Cubana Siere R

Basically I think I'm finally moving into medium bodies cigars. Thanks again.

I may be DEAD wrong, but many of those cigars are stronger than habanos. You might be looking for
Ramon Allones Specially Selected, RyJ Dukes, Upmann Mag 48s, Cohiba Robusto, trying to think of
other fuller-bodied habanos regular line smokes...not too many oddly enough. A little help here brothers??
Definitely look for Ediciones Regional smokes.
Bolivar Belicosos Finos and Coronas Extra....Vegas Robaina Unicos....

Any of the Ramon Allones Regionals.

Romeo y Julieta Cazadores.

The '10 Partagas Serie D4s are good in my experience, and might fit the "medium" category.

The Admiral knows stuff...

Two delicious options, the Cazadores are a real treat IMHO.

I havent had the '10 Party yet though I saw a Party "style" recently here in Cancun :-).

Quay d'Orsay Corona or ERDM Choix Supreme you'll enjoy. Cohiba Robusto or Trinidad Robusto T are real treats. Cigars ain't cheap up there.

I dont think you'll find anything similar to the NC's you mentioned. CC's and NC's are different breeds. Like have been mentioned, try a RyJ Cazadores, and Bolivar Coronas Extra. Maybe that will do it for you! :-)

Cigars in Canada (like many other items) are insanely expensive. Personally, I would bring my own cigars to Canada and maybe take a peek at the LCdH humidor and shop out of curiosity. As an American, its a rare joy for me to see cuban cigars on the shelf in such a large array of brands, shapes, and sizes.

Isn't there a Canadian Regional Release?

I would just try the PC sized smokes. Most of them smoke good fresh and with the prices they shouldn't break your budget either.

Bolivar Bolivar B-2 Piramides
Ramon Allones Gordito De Allones

Those are the 2010, there are several from previous years too, including the Boli Simones, my personal Canadian fave.
