All Cigar Discussion>Whats your "Go To" smokes?
gator_79 01:57 PM 09-13-2011
Just wondering what everyones "go to" smokes are. Right now these are the sticks I love that always produce constant results. Lets keep this about NC's only please:

AF 8-5-8 Maduro
AF Hemmingway Signature
AF Anejo
Padron 2000/3000 Maduro
Kristoff Maduro

There are many other sticks that I enjoy but these are the ones that instantly come to mind.

LGC Serie R #4
CAO Brazilia
Tatuaje VI miami nobles (IIRC it's called something like that)
601 Blue Maduro

Cant' remember many others, as I've been on a huge CC kick lately. I don't smoke many mild NC's. Most of the time when I grab an NC, it's because I want something full flavored and full bodied.

Variety is the spice of life, I probably smoke 40-50 cigars a month, and rarely smoke 2 of the same marca and vitola twice.

Still finding that "go to" smoke, but so far it's these.....in this order.

Romeo J Julieta
Cain Daytona No.4
Montecristo

Will update as I smoke more.

When I think go to, I think cost effective:

Padron core line maduro. Never been dissatisfied with a single vitola
Famous Nic 3000
Famous Nic 5000
Any Cain if I want it long and strong.

I agree with the go to= cost effective. All but the Anejo on my list I can get for $6.00 or less. Most of the NC's I smoke also tend to be maduro's.

My go-to cigars (so far) are:

601 Blue
Tatuaje Nobles VI
My Father
Fuente 8-5-8
Padron 5000

I have smoked more 601 Blues than any other cigar and I still cannot believe how good they are. :-):-)

Just my opinion

:-)

I don't smoke anything close to Tom's volume, but I don't have any "go to" sticks, either. I'm too busy with too many different things. I certainly have favorites, but I explore enough other things that I manage to space them out. :-)

Still looking for that every day smoke, but I haven't smoked very much lately.

Once I get a house I know I'll be able to smoke a lot more often. My goal will to be find a yummy stick that will be inexpensive.

I have too much variety right now to have as my go to cigar.

Have to agree with Tom. I almost never smoke the same cigar( I'll say back to back as I only have about 8 to 10 a month).

But I always have an AF 858 maduro, a rocky sungrown, and a VSG in the travel humidor.
