Well, for the first time the Tigers bullpen arrived with the Tigers behind, 3-2. Then Villareal gave up 5.

Anybody with a reliever for sale? :-)

Not sure it's gonna get better anytime soon, Tom.
Reports are the Tigers are bringing Valverde back on a minor league deal.
I really expected the Tigers to reach out to the Redsox this spring and snag one of their closers.

Hope Prince, Miggy, Vic and the Boys start scoring 9 runs a game then, Dom.

What a great day for a game! I'd like to thank the Tigers' bullpen for giving Minnesotan baseball fans hope for another week!

On pace for a 108-54 season! But realistically I'm just happy they have won a couple!

I wonder if you'll take that back once the hitters get their timing back.....Pitchers have the upper hand early in the season. However, this first series, the pitching staff for the Twins as a whole has really surprised me.

What happened to Detroit today? I was watching the game up until the A's came on..

They even had their ace on the mound.

I can't believe they aren't going to go 162-0.

True.

From the few innings I seen, Verlander didn't look as good as he normally is.

He had one bad inning (not unusual for him early in games), then shut the Yankees down for the rest of his day. Tigers bats just couldn't give him enough help, Garry.
