I know the approximations for how many beads should be in a vino temp...
I was just curious how many beads our users here use in their 28 bottle Vinos and how well does it work?
I am most likely only gonna grab a pound of beads for mine since it will be mostly full and that should make a pound enough for me.

I use 2 lbs. A single lb is plenty, but I use 2 because it allows for it to recover quicker after being opened.

I have 1 and 1/2 pounds of Shilala beads in my Vino. After I got it stabilized (due to error on my part), it has been holding steady at 65% humidity for about 6 weeks now.

I think I have 1.5 lbs, although I only add water to about 1 lb every couple of months. I have a couple of tubes and a baggy I never add water to.
Mine is usually around 66-67% and is stable. If I open the doors for too long it drops, but recovers pretty quickly.
The only thing that scares me about these units is that when the power goes out, they reset to 55F or so. Almost makes me want to put it on a battery backup. One night the power went out and I did not realize it until the next morning. By the time I checked, it was at 60F and 60% , for a couple of hours it was fine.

single pound of 65% viper beads and 2 drymistat tubes on the top two levels. Keeps it rock solid at 68%.

Half pound of Viper's 65% and a half pound of his 70% keeps it right at 68% all day everyday.

I was thinking the same thing about the power outage issue. I only wonder how long it could last on a ups.

Using a pound split into two bags. I only mist one bag as the other is buried behind some boxes. 65% Heartfelt beads.

Unfortunately, this is a common misunderstanding.
The 65% beads will absorb humidity until saturated at which point the RH will begin to stabilize at 70%. I have read this from both David at Heartfelt and Mark at Cigarmony. Plus, it just makes sense.

Mines not a vino but I use 10 lbs of Shilalas beads in one of my humis. They work great holding me at 62% all the time.

I have two lbs of Scott's beads in one and one and a half pounds of Heartfelt's in another. They are both holding dead on with ease.

2 lbs, which is probably a little bit overkill.

Not a lot of sticks, just a lot of room to put sticks.
