Ok, in an atempt at trying to murder me, Jason sent me a tin of Acid Purple cigarillos. I actually smoked one.....
Drew Estates Acid Purple:
Drew estates uses terms such as juggernaut, super rich infusion, complex hybrid oil and botanical infusion. It is all that and then some. So I decide this is to be my drive home smoke and get it out of the way.
The build:
Coloring was a medium brown with a black mottling of spots. Almost cheatah styled. Nice little cap to cut, surprising to me on this little a cigarillo. Size 5x20 and packed in a tin of 10 with a picture on the inside of the gayest looking person on a crotch rocket motorcycle wearing a camo floppy hat ????? A tad rough looking wrapper, but again not as bad as I expected.
Pre light roll found it to be a hard, tight pack. The Smell was vile, a super sweet cloying smell like walking into an old fashioned candy store. The approximate smell was grape, similiar to the grape Backwoods if you have ever smelled one of those. Pre-draw was very firm, not plugged, but one step below. I tried rolling it a bit to loosen it up.
The smoke:
Lit it with the ole zippo with Z-blaze insert (love them). Immediatly I was overwhelmed on the lips and tounge with this grape flavor, no sense or taste of tobacco. First few puffs, almost creamy???? After about 1/4" into it I can start to taste the tobacco on the back of the tounge and throat (I'm trying to keep the herbal oils from being swallowed). It's a very rough harsh tobacco. It also has a far amount of vitaman N. I know this as cigars heavy in the nic department cause my throat to tighten up and close a bit.
I smoked this cigar to the band, couldn't get it off as I was putting down the interstate (thank god). By the time it flew out the window the throat was rough, I could not get the taste off the lips and tounge. The car smelled of a 10 cent piece of cheap grape bubble gum. As I was headed to my bar for a bourbon to use as a disinfectant, I sped up. I tried 2 EW Sgl Brl on the rock and a twist of lime and an Olivia G...... I wasted good alcohol and a decent smoke trying to clear my taste buds. Sometimes evil wins the battle.
The sending of this tin of "smokes" would normally have me getting on my
motorcycle, riding 14 hours to Bama and cutting all Jason's cigars up with a very dull butter knife. He did save his cigars with one of the other sticks in the bomb he sent to me.
So to recap - a very evil and vile cigar. I have a friend who smokes Backwoods grape and the honey tobacco (I just can't call them a cigar). The other 9 will be enjoyed by him. But as always, YMMV, feel free to try one.

We live to experience and it was an experience. BTW, we decided your getting # 10 in the Acid pass. The RASS saved you - that is one fine smoking stick
:-) It may die a very firey death soon.

No problem. As your the end of the pass and it will not need to go any further, it's all good. It's like one of those boomerang things, you tossed it out there but it's on a long return path home.
