I finally finished my latest project. Been doing it over a couple weeks as I get more cigar bands. Now all I have to do is find a sealer to cover it with.

Try looking into casting resin for a finish. Nice work, btw :-)

or Decopauge.

Clearcoat (from a can or spraycan) can/will ruin some of the white bands.
I did a project a while back and used spray clearcoat, and the white Illusione bands almost went to clear.

Oh yah, I saw that from my phone. It looks cool, very original concept!
I have seen those laptops with interchangeable face plates, that would be cool to make those and sell them to the small crowd that the covers would fit.
