All Cigar Discussion>Weston, Missouri - Black Ribbon Cigars
woops 09:28 PM 03-05-2011
Went to Weston, MO today and visited Weston Tobacco. New shop in the town about five months ago. Owner rolls his own brand right there in the shop. He uses Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos. His brand is called Black Ribbon Cigars.

Picked up one of his maduro's he said was four days fresh. It was a great cigar. Medium bodied, Dominican, great taste, not a big nic hit ... just fresh and flavorful. I had never had a fresh rolled cigar before.

He has a website, but not much information on it yet. I don't know that he will hit it big time, but thought I'd share my experiences for anyone in KC or traveling through NW Missouri on I-29. Would definitely be worth stopping by.

Sounds like an excuse to go for a nice motorcycle ride once the weather straightens up :-)

I'm heading there next month. Corey is a nice guy and his better half also rolls cigars. Excited to try his product.

We need to try to plan some kind of get together next month. I would love to ride the bike up there. I just need to have enough prior notice to get the day off from my part-time job.

That would rock. I have some friends in the Leavenworth area so I can easily justify a weekend road trip up that direction

I have hung out with Corey a bunch and he is a great guy. His cigars are fantastic. Watching him roll is cool and smoking a fresh rolled cigar is an experience you need to have.

If the kids were older and we knew more folks in the area, I would definately enjoy some more of the midwest cigar community. Maybe one day.
