This Nicaraguan puro, made by Don Pepin Garcia for Pete Johnson, has a ligero wrapper and all tobacco are first generation Cuban seed. I got this from The Longfiller Company, the importer for Tatuaje in The Netherlands, in exchange for a review on my blog and my Dutch cigar website. The 5x50 robusto has an 11 euro pricetag in The Netherlands.

This cigar looks great with the nice dark oily wrapper that only has one thin vein and a triple cap. The aroma, which isn't that strong, is a warm barnyard aroma. The construction is great although the predraw, that tastes a bit peppery, is a bit loose. The bands, that are placed a bit crooked are glued to the cigar, that caused problems when I tried to remove them during smoking when the burn came close to the bands.

I can taste a mildly bitter earth flavor soon to be accompanied by some wood. After ⅓ the earth flavor disappears and I taste the dry wood with herbal flavors and cacao powder as a mild aftertaste.

Halfway the cacao powder as an aftertaste disappears, just like the wood and the earth flavor returns, while the herbs are becoming dominant around the ⅔ point. At the end the cacao returns as a very mild aftertaste.

The draw is a bit loose, although it gets better near the end. I got a lot of smoke from the cigar, the smoke is a bit thin though. The ash is almost white, firm and compact. The burn is great. This cigar is full bodied and full flavored.

Would I buy this cigar again? Yes, I liked this cigar, I wish it lasted longer than the 70 minutes I enjoyed it.
