Had some of it at the Hofbrauhaus near our house this weekend. Fabulous in mugs the size of your head :-)

That gives me a great idea for tailgating this Sunday.

I still need to pick one of those up. Great Lakes is solid this year. Haven't tried much else. I need to pick up 1 of each.

Paulaner (like a 40oz can or something?) and Sam Adams are what's on the table these days! :-)

I've blown through a few 12 packs of Sam Adams.

Schlafly doesn't do it for me this year. I seem to remember it as better in years past.
However, the Ayinger Marzen is phenomenal!

This man speaks the truth!

Paulaner, Haacker Pschorr, and Spaten all make great Marzens!

The only one I've bought this yer so far is local called Red Brick Oktobeerfest which turned out to be really good. I will be buying more this week and next. The Paulander, Hofbrau, and Ayinger areon my short list...as well as many others. On a side note a new biergarten is opening not far from me and I hope it will be open in time for Oktoberfest.

I've had the Paulaner Octoberfest Marzen, which was wonderful, and some Schell's Octoberfest, which was also quite good. I picked up one of those huge Paulaner glass mugs and the 1 ligter can of Wiesn Bier.

Moses, how does that mini-keg work? Does the tap come already attached?

Yes there is. First, open a cyphon on the top then pull out the tap and turn the nozzle. It comes out on slow side and is easy to get a thick head.

$20 out the door.

Picked up some Ayinger Marzen and Spaten Optimator. Saw Hofbrau but not the mini keg so I will check some other stores before I settle on bottles.

One Octoberfest beer I like is New Glarus Staghorn.

Might have to hit the Essen Haus for boot of beer. :-)
