It was nothing like the original, but I liked the new Karate Kid film. The old one will always be far superior though.

Garbage. Everyone involved can burn in hell for defiling a piece of my childhood.

...yes, I am very sensitive about a remake of this movie. I'd feel the same way if some Hollywood ass hat tried to remake Goonies or Back to the Future.

Is there anywhere to listen to it online. I don't get Jim Rome here. We get Colin Cowherd :-)

Well, it may not of won any Oscars last night, it was a good sequel in my opinion!

Me to.

And Jennifer Connelly made a nice addition. The admirals daughter "Penny" was a single throwaway line in the original. A cool little easter egg hatched decades later.

And it won one Oscar for best sound. Gaga should have won for best song but I'm prejudiced.

Excepting for the combat/training scenes, I thought it was lame. Rehashed the same plot lines with different characters. (People make fun of a person, who turns out to be their instructor.) There were 4 or 5 plot lines that were complete rehashes of the original. Boo. Let the flaming/mocking begin.:-)

Agreed, the addition of J. Connelly as pretty good...

Really? I was thinking the opposite. The first movie was great, why mess with success? K.I.S.S. :-)

I understand the logic, Anthony, but in that case I'd just fire up the original again. :-)

Top Gun is my lady's (IBQTEE1) all time favorite movie, and even she was disappointed with the sequel.

I really liked the sequel. The lady pilot (Phoenix?) was pretty damn cute.

Watched TG2 on Prime today. The story was a little too close to the original, but the action scenes in the planes were really cool. Jennifer Connelly is smoking hot still. Overall I’d give it a :-)
