Today's annual charity hockey game between the FDNY and NYPD devolved into a full-out brawl at Nassau Coliseum with the score tied at three. Cops and firefighters were beating the crap out of each other.

Lots of videos at the linked article. :-)

Funny how you post this as exhibiting a lack of class, going across a continent instead of just up the coast to Isla Vista and its riots. Oh well.

Still, seems like a pretty typical hockey game to me. :-)

I've been in fights at police V, fire charity games. Just because you are playing for a good cause doesn't mean it turns into a badminton game. :-) :-)

First to fight gives a whole new meaning to "First Responder"

If they'd been allowed to carry concealed on the ice, there would have been no violence. I read that on the interwebby.

IBTL, perhaps just barely. :-)

You should see their annual football games as well, NY's Finest vs. NY's Bravest, which is the same as their hockey game. Damn I miss home now.

Oh, IBTL

However, when I took a look at the video, I didn't see much actual fighting; just a lot of touching and hugging and stuff. I shouldn't laugh, somebody could have broken a nail. If you look closely enough, you can see one guy re-applying his lipstick.:-)

Really, Darren? The clip I watched had a couple pretty impressive tilts. :-)
