I'll create a sticky thread for resource links only. I'll keep the first post updated with the links people submit.

I was suddenly and unexpectedly laid off 2 years ago and i found indeed.com to be a very good resource as it scans most of the other sources. This is approaching a tough time of the year for job hunting so if you find yourself there don't get discouraged as things usually pick up in mid January after the Holiday Season.

Sure.....indeed is basically a search engine of job postings. From my understanding, it searches many different resources and can search based on keywords and geographical area. The links provided will take you to where indeed found the job listing.

Thanks guys. I've updated the sticky thread.
Feel free to banter and freewheel it in this thread but please post useful links to the sticky thread so that the consolidated list can be maintained.

Update to comply with Peter's specs:
www.craigslist.org
Community based job postings. Contains lots of part-time listings and "gigs" as well as full time.

One positive of being unemployed is I have smoked an awful lot of cigars!
:-)
Course I have no money to buy replacements.

I've seen periodic references to LinkedIn. What is it?

An online networking site. Think Facebook for professionals.
