This was 1 of 4 beers I entered into this year's National Homebrew Competition and I just received the scores from my regional round today. The other 3 beers did pretty well, but this one took first place in its category and will advance to finals in San Diego! The judges said it was a "gorgeous" beer and a "flawless" example of the style :-) :-)

I'm pretty pumped so I just thought I'd share!
Awesome news Gerard...good luck at the next level...

Finals are over, already know I have 2 A's pretty sure Im getting A's in my other two classes, so I'm celebrating with some 15 y/o Glenfiddich and an 01 CoLa courtesy of Landhoney. The hat, I wore today, the back says "We do bad things to bad people", thought it was fitting :-)

Last night while grilling on my deck (don't know what the stick was):

FYI, I used the Instagram app on my iPhone to make the pics look like they do. :-)

Thanks, Darrell. He was one of the founding members of the MPLS/St. Paul group on Cigar Family. Taken a few years ago in a car accident. May 1st was a day that he celebrated his father with rum and an 858 sungrown, and now on Cigar Family, we celebrate him.

RIP, Waliguy.

Since it is the END OF DAYS very soon I took advantage of the nice day. Cut the lawn then kicked back with my smoking buddy Tango my Shetland Sheep dog.

Appleton Reserve and Apple juice with a Tat series P.

Very nice day.

Not normally into pairing cigars with wine, but this Bogle Phantom was fat and juicy, and the Hoyo du Roi I paired it with was raisin sweet with some nice spice. Worked out pretty well!

Edit: if anyone could tell me (forum noob) why the photos I post come out so small I would appreciate it.
